Q: I'll be visiting Vancouver, Canada for Thanksgiving. How's the weather there? Does it rain & snow? I don't want to spend money on some kind of water-proof shoes that I would never wear back home in Orange County, California. Do you have any suggestions of what kind of shoes I should bring?

A: Wear runners. It rains sometimes but I wear runners almost every day. Or, close toe walking shoes. Yes, there is sometimes snow, but it's hard to predict (only a couple times a year) and not worth packing boots.
