Q: Is there snow most of the time? My girlfriend and I are going to canada from Jan 2nd-5th and would love to see some snow, but in general how is the weather after christmas in vancouver bc?

A: Vancouver has a mild climate. What that generally means is wet and warm (not freezing). Bring warm clothes, and make sure that your outter most layer is water-proof, because even if it doesn't get below freezing, the rain can be quite cold. And even if Vancouver isn't freezing, it's not far to go to some snow. The north shore mountains (just a bus ride away) will probably have a decent amount of snow - and skiing. Whister is just a few hours drive to the north. It's a very beautiful and expensive destination. the highway can be a bit of a nightmare. Have a good trip!
