Q: I'm just curious what people here think of the mascots.
A: I thought the idea of turning to aboriginal mythology was good as a focus for the mascots for the Vancouver Olympics. However, the execution by creating an 'Asian' influence on the look of these creatures was asinine. If they were supposed to be of an aboriginal theme, then they should have made the mascots look more like proper native mythical creatures. Once again, they haven't got a bloody clue. First time round, the ridiculous Inukshuk (I like them, just not as a BC theme) and now we have these stupid Hello Kitty themed mascots. Who are running these promos? They need to be fired, because they have wasted a lot of money AGAIN!
