Q: I have a friend who is in dire need of help. He was married in 1984 and him and his wife had a baby together. His wife left him when the baby was only 3 months old. He has not seen or heard from them since she left. My friend is very distraught over this. He did hire an attorney several years ago but the lawyer did nothing for him so it was just wasted money. How would he find his little girl( she would be 24 now) The only thing he has to go on was she was born in Burbank Cali in 1984 and the last known address was Vancouver Canada. I want to help him so much in finding his daughter but I have no idea how to do this. He has even created a Myspace page and on the part that says who you would like to meet, he put "My daughter Chelsey" I think he has pretty much tried everything. He did join this one internet site that advertised $9.00 to join but then when you join it, you have to spend $500 more just to get more information. I told him to go on a talk show.
A: Tell your friend to contact the local media. They love stories like this, and hopefully he can get some information. Also, I would think that he should be contacting the police.. both in his local state and in the last known address. Good luck to your friend. I hope he sees his daughter again!
