Q: My friends and I are planning for a trip to whistler and we were looking for a hotel to book. I noticed most places are 21 age requirement to check in. Does anyone know of palce that is perhaps 18 or 19 years?

A: In BC, 19 is the age of majority (adult) and old enough to sign contracts, so responsible enough to rent a hotel room. It is the US that tends to have a 21 restriction. HOWEVER, there can be a lot US based hotel chains all over the world and they bring their rules and policies with them. So, I suggest looking for a smaller chain or Canadian based chains when looking at Whistler. But there are no guarantees. All that it takes is 1 or 2 bad experiences by the hotel and they will tighten up their policy.
