How do I get from Vancouver to Victoria by public transport?

Q: Is there any ferry, or train, or bus or shuttle? If so, which one do you recommend and how can I book it online?

A: I often take public transit from Burnaby to Victoria (almost exactly as described by Trini)... This takes me FIVE HOURS on a good day (sometimes there's hold ups with buses ect)... However, it's much cheaper than Greyhound so if money is no problem, then I'd suggest taking the Greyhound bus (will take you directly from downtown Van to the ferry, then directly from the ferry to downtown Victoria!)...(About 3.5 hours) Also, if you are traveling with luggage, Greyhound will be much more enjoyable because they will store your luggage under the bus, while public transit asks that you keep your luggage on your lap(or under you chair ect)... By public transit, you do not need to book anything...just show up on time to catch the bus and it will get you to the ferry terminal in time to buy your ticket and then walk on the ferry! ***Make sure that you have exact change for all of the buses you'll be taking! ***When you arrive on the Victoria side, and are taking the bus from the ferry terminal, make sure that you get the #70Downtown and NOT the bus that goes to UVIC...
