Q: Where are some places to visit? What about good food or hotel or day excursions?
A: Ya its a great city to visit. If you have time you can take a trip up to whistler (one of the best ski resorts in the world) its only about an hour drive from the city. Another place to visit, if you have time is the Okanagan (its about a 3.5hr drive north of Vancouver) you will find some of the best wineries in Canada there. If you plan on stayin in vancouver, definately check out Stanley Park, The Aquarium, Capillano Suspension Bridge, Grouse Mountain, Science World, The Vancouver Zoo, Sea Wall. Food- All depends on how much you want to spend. If you want an amazing sea food restaurant, check out the cannery in east van. If you want a decent priced pasta restaurant, go to Anton's on Hastings (in burnaby) Everything depends on when you plan on going there... if its summer time, another great place to visit is Cultus Lake Granville Island is a must see as well.
