Is Vancouver Island a good place to live?

Q: Median household income, jobs, schools, restaurants, facilities, partying, population, etc considering.

A: Yes, it is beautiful, nice weather, lots of things to do. It will depend on what area you are looking at. Housing can be expensive in Victoria but is cheaper farther up island. Courtenay/Comox is a good area and building quickly. If you are looking for work one of the best to get into is construction. They are always looking for new workers and the money is good. It doesn't matter where on the island you are when it comes to that. Computers are always a good industry as well. If you like to be in the tourism side then Victoria is good for that. As it is a very popular place for everyone to go to. In Victoria there is lots of night clubs, pubs, etc for the party scene. They also have several sports teams that are great to watch as well. Victoria has over 300,000 people in all its areas combined and is growing strong. Nanaimo, Parksville, Courtenay, Campbell River are the other major towns on the island and they don't have that many people in it. For hiking, skiing, then Courtenay is definitely the best. For beaches, hiking, walks, then Victoria is awesome. Parksville has some of the best beaches to be at in the summer with the tides.
