A: In spite of the previous answer I know several people who claim to have seen a Sasquatch although it is unlikely you will see one. As for camping, there are charges for all provincial parks and many take reservations. There is an online site for all BC Provincial Parks http://www.env.gov.bc.ca/bcparks/explore/explore.html which can give you the necessary information. Stories of the Sasquatch exist all down the coast from BC to California within the stories and histories of the First Nations people. One person I spoke to told me that his grandmother used to tell stories of them and stated she could speak with them. According to her they were just another tribe of people. They are also supposed to have certain powers which makes them difficult to find or see unless they want to be. Some of the First Nations stories refer to them as a spirit being. I guess it all comes down to what defines "real".
