Q: I will rent a car in Seattle and drive to Canada to visit. Do I need my passport or driver liscense is good enough? What else document should I prepare? Thank you.

A: Assuming you are a US Citizen then all you require is an authorized government photo ID such as your Driver's License and your birth certificate (it has to be officially issued of course). However if you are not a US Citizen then you will require your passport and, depending on the country you are from, a visa. If you were not born in the US but are a US citizen then you will also need your citizenship card. If you have a passport bring it, it is the easisest form of ID and will be all you need, other than your Driver's License of course since you are driving.
