Q: Any info helpeful info for my next visit to vancouver canada will be appreciated. What to do? where to go? attraction, hotel, travel deals and package for Vancouver canada for this coming spring. Thanks a lot

A: Things to do with kids in Vancouver depends not only on the age of the children, but also the weather. Bring the right clothing (a fleece jacket plus a light rainjacket is required gear in Vancouver) and most outdoor activities are still fun. Vancouver is very much an outdoor city, despite it's reputation for 'liquid sunshine'. Spring weather will be unpredictable, it could be wet, it could be T-shirt weather for a day at one of the beaches. Stanley Park is always good for a visit, for the playgrounds, the miniature train, and even for a walk in the forest! There is a hedge maze at VanDusen Gardens that was always a hit with my children, as was the gondola trip up to Grouse Mountain, the latter best done in good weather (for the view). My kids have always been fans of rainy days at Science World, the Vancouver Aquarium, or the IMAX theatre at Canada Place, but have also enjoyed a visit to the Museum of Anthropology which combines well with a visit to the UBC Botanical Gardens. Also fun is lunch at Granville Island with a stroll through the market (take one of the little boats from the other side of False Creek for added adventure). Similarly, a trip on the SeaBus to Lonsdale Quay is a good time to spend an afternoon with kids of all ages. Have a snack at the food court, check out the stores, or fly a kite in Waterfront Park in North Van and enjoy the panoramic view of downtown Vancouver on the ferry ride back.
