Q: So I'm traveling to Vancouver around March 10th, but downtown hotels are so pricey, i was wondering if anyone knew of any decent hotels around 70 or lower a night in or very close to Vancouver?
A: Unfortunately that is going to be next to impossible. Hotels everywhere have gone up in the last few years, not just here. Even the divey little motel down the road from where I live charges $89.99 per night (according to the billboard outside). If you are a member of CAA or AAA, then some hotels will give you a discount. Even then you will still be looking at a minimum of $80-100 a night.
