Planning a 30th bday getaway in Vancouver BC area?

Q: My BF is turning 30 and she wanted to get away from Seattle with 10 women and we decided we should go up north to Vancouver or something like that. She was talking about Princess Islands, I cant find any information on this. Does anyone know the area very well?? We were going to leave on a Thursday and come back on a Sunday, preferably on a boat, probably a cruise. Also she wants to have a great nightlife, dancing, etc...Any ideas? Thank you! This is going to be in May...

A: Princess Royal Islands is in a extremely remote area of BC, accessible only by boat or air. Sightseeing trips in the area include a 5-day/4-night circumnavigation of Princess Royal Island. This adventure includes the opportunity to view a wide variety of wildlife, including whales and marine life, as well as deer, wolves, eagles, black bears, and of course, the Spirit Bear. Departures are from Bella Bella and Shearwater on the British Columbia Coast, accessible by ferry or air. Here is a company that sails to PRI (Princess Royal Island): http://www.freshtracks.ca/lodge_ranch/indi_kingpacific.shtml For nightlife, I doubt you will find any in PRI, Vancouver would be your best bet for having nightlife activities. ---- Trip Itinerary Suggestion ----- 1) drive or amtrak train from seattle to vancouver 2) if possible on your first night, go do the nightlife activities in Vancouver http://www.granvillestreet.com/directory/granville-street-nightlife/ 3) go on your x day cruise; no nightlife 4) come back to Vancouver and restart nightlife activities 5) amtrak and train home
