I'm thinking of moving to British Columbia and would like information on areas to live.?

Q:

A: The Okanagan area would be ideal. The area is about a 4-5 hour drive north of Vancouver. Depending on the route you take and which city you're headed too. The only thing about the Okanagan is that it has a limited amount of jobs. It is a summer destination and that means lots and lots of tourists, lots of traffic. The area isn't really focused on businesses per se, like Vancouver and the GVA. Most head offices are located in the Vancouver area. Not sure what education/skills you have. Things can be more expensive up in the Okanagan for location reasons. But the area is gorgeous, especially Kalamaka Lake and Okanagan Lake. Every sport imaginable is up there for summer and winter. It's very expensive to live in Vancouver. It is much cheaper as you head out east like the others' have been mentioning such as: Burnaby, Coquitlam, Port Coquitlam, Surrey, and Langley. When you head out East of Vancouver, transportation such as buses and our subway/rail system start to fail.
