A: hostels are very fun, and diffrent. we stayed at the cambie hostel on hastings. as far as camping on a beach i dont know but we did camp under one of the bridges, its a rv camping park. but do visit wreck beach its a clothing optional beach and is one of the most diffrent places i have ever been. that is by the university of british columbia. anyway good luck finding what u are looking for!
