Q: Is there a direct shuttle or bus that departs from Vancouver Airport to Banff? (Without having to rent a car.) I've searched all over the net and I think the Canadian companies only offer sightseeing bus tours or train tours to and from Vancouver and Banff. What are other faster and more convenient ways to go to Banff from Vancouver?
A: I doubt you'll find anything that runs directly from the Vancouver airport to Banff. They're not that close. Greyhound runs from Vancouver to Banff. It's a 13-15 hour trip and regular adult fare is $117.05. There is no regular passenger rail service to Banff, only the Rocky Mountaineer tour train. The only other option I can think of would be to fly to Calgary and take the Greyhound from Calgary.
