Q: We are a group of six, going to spend two days in Victoria. Can some one suggest some places to stay. I am not talking of places like Fairmont, but some thing nice and clean and on a good location yet economical.

A: I second the Traveller's Inn...I haven't been into all of them, but the one's downtown are really nice (for the price). I would suggest that you NOT stay at the one on Gorge Road-it's not within walking distance to downtown. There are quite a few Traveller's Inns downtown. Depending on which location you stay at, the price ranges from $69-160/night. http://www.travellersinn.com/ I just checked Pauls Motor Inn (right downtown) and for a room with two double beds it's $64.00/night http://www.paulsmotorinn.com/ **When I checked the prices, I used the dates June13-15th. If you are coming before May/June, then the prices may be cheaper. Hotels jack up the prices quite a bit for the summer season. Enjoy your stay!
