swimming with the belauga whales at the Vancouver Aquarium?

Q: I'm looking into doing this this summer when I'm up there for a swim meet. I want to know do you actually get into the water with them cuz that's what I want. does anybody know someone who has done it? deos anybody know how early I'm going to have to book it? thanks

A: NO! never! they would never let u. even the trainers don't do that. a beluga encounter is just something when you aren't fenced out from the beluga. its just you, the beluga, and the trainer, and the other people doing the encounter. even though belugas are cute they get spooked out very easily. i kinda did a beluga encounter before, however it was just a short one that lasted like 10min (im sure that you do more if you do the actual one) for a winter camp i was volunteering for. all we did was listen to the trainer who told us stuff about the beluga, and then the belugas did some tricks for us. however, even that it was not a real beluga encounter it was still really cool! and...i don't think that you would want to go swimming in the tank. its really dirty, the belugas poo and pee in it, sea gulls and birds swim in it, and theirs probably other nasty things in there as well.
