Q: After many many years living in the UK I have decided to move back home to Canada, namely Vancouver..... British Columbia area. I need to know what areas there are around Vancouver that have affordable real estate? I know it's expensive! Are the Islands cheaper? I am going next week and taking the wife, so only have one chance to impress on her how better our standard of living could be, heard whistler is pretty reasonable? She want a water front or mountain view lol? Thanks
A: It depends on your definition of 'affordable' Vancouver is one of the most expensive real estate markets in Canada. Mountain/sea views are generally at the top end of the price scale. Vancouver Island is a little less expensive but by no means cheap. This link should be helpful.
