Can i use 220 volts electrical devices in Canada?

Q: I'm going to a college in Canada and i wanted to know if ican use my electronic devices such as a notebook, phone charger, digital camera charger, etc. if I can't where to buy converter in Kelowna, BA? thx so much sorry i typed it wrong, it supposed to be BC for additional information i come from southeast asia. thx. I also have 110 to 220 and vice versa converter, can I use it though?

A: That's BC, not BA. Try Future Shop, Andre's Electronics, or Circuit City. There shouldn't be a problem converting 220 to 110, as long as your electronics are 60 Hz instead of 50 Hz. If its the UK you're coming from, your fine. We do actually have 220 volts coming into the houses, it's just single phased for lighting and outlets. There is no problem getting enough voltage, the amperage is the important thing.
