A: You can just walk in because the drinking age in BC is 19. But yes, they are strict. Make sure you have 2 pieces of identification and one being a drivers license, passport or similar government issue. That is the law, over 19 and carrying id to prove it. This site for government liquor stores states the requirements that is the same for any bar. I've been in Vancouver on Memorial Day weekend, the bars are full of Americans....
