Q: my fiance' and i are going to be in vancouver for a few days and i was wondering how this area is. is it safe? how's parking? is there any area we should stay away from? not walk in certain areas? any restaurants we should try? thanks to everyone who answers

Safety - stay together, don't give money to the panhandlers, and STAY AWAY from East Hastings St. Go to - Robson St. (shops galore); and Howe St. (Pacific Centre) Eat at - any of the dozens of little places that looks like it is full of patrons. They are every where, including on 500 block of Hornby St., a place that has 6+ different eateries all crammed in. Worth Taxi fare - Granville Island, funky & quaint. Have Fun!
