Q: will be there in June for 4 weeks so looking for a drinking hangout!!
A: I live in Victoria, and some of my fav bars include: Swans (GREAT beer!!!) Hugos Darcy's is VERY popular!! The Sticky Wicket has a nice roof top bar with a sandy volleyball court. Sopranos (karaoke bar, not hokey- very popular place) Just heard today that Smith's Bar (I believe it's relatively new) is a great place to hang. The Irish Times Pub/Restaurant is popular... I would suggest checking out Big Bad John's (at the Strathcona Hotel) once...haha, it's an 'interesting' experience! PS-You will probably get more answers if you post this in the Victoria section, rather than under Vancouver... Hope that you have a great visit here!!
