Q: I am migrating to Canada in near future. I am planning to settle down in BC. I would like to which city? I looking for the area where I can have a good job and better life. I have done degree in Economics. Please help and suggest. Thanks

A: Canada's western provinces (BC and Alberta) have been experiencing an economic boom for several years so you probably won't have much trouble finding a job. Vancouver is a beautiful city, but the cost of living can be quite high when it comes to renting or buying a home. If you're prepared for a lengthy commute there is more affordable housing to found out in the suburbs, but if you want to be close to the water and the action of downtown then you should be prepared to pay the price. You might also consider some parts of the BC interior, such as Kelowna or Kamloops. They're smaller cities so the culture is quite different and it might be harder for you to put your degree to work, but the environment is gorgeous, housing is much more affordable, crime is far less common and they're not nearly as rainy as Vancouver can be. In fact, both cities are in desert regions.
