A: Yes. Most of the main businesses in Vancouver accept US currency, especially those that deal with tourists a lot. And taxis deal with tourists a lot. But be prepared to take a big cut in the exchange rate. Keep in mind the exchange rate has had huge swings and the taxi driver probably isn't bringing your currency directly to the bank, and only get what the bank pays him for it. So they build in some comfort into what they exchange.
