A: You'll find plenty to do here in Nanaimo! If you enjoy the outdoors, then you will never run out of things to do. Plenty of amazing hiking trails, surfing (in Tofino), swimming... you name it. July is a great time to come if you like swimming - the Nanaimo River is practically epic. Nightlife is good here too, and there are plenty of places to eat and hang out. Email me if you have any questions - am 20 years old and been living here my entire life. HAVE to laugh at the person who mentioned "Crappy Malls" when Nanaimo's home to the largest Mall on the Island. Ive traveled to the US, NZ, AU, UK and of course Van at least once a Month... and I still love Nanaimo.
