How is life in vancouver bc.?

Q: Need some light people, Im a Chef in my late 20s and I would like to move to vancouver, but I wonder how life is there, such as jobs, weather, people and housing. thanks.

A: Vancouver is going through a major housing crisis. There are lots of jobs, the weather's pretty hot in the summer (in a good way), and the people in many areas (ie. Commercial Drive, Main St...) are friendly, it's easy to find pot, and it's a pretty chill city for the most part. HOWEVER, housing costs an arm and a leg. Most places, you'll be lucky to find a 1 bedroom for 800/mo, never mind BUYING a place, and when the Olympics come, it'll be even worse. There are homeless people all over the place, it's home to the #1 poorest postal code in all of Canada, and it's getting gentrified like nobody's business. It's beautiful, but I personally can't afford to live here any longer, and I've been in BC my whole life.
