Q: Any hints idea on nice vacation in July...
A: I'd recommend anywhere on Vancouver Island between Nanaimo and Campbell River. There are a couple of artificial reefs, old navy destroyers that were sunk a few years ago. There's even an old Boeing 737 somewhere in that area as well. My friend is a diver and he tells me that the area is a good spot to see six-gill sharks (large but generally harmless) off the Parksville/Qualicum Beach areas. Campbell River bills itself as the "Salmon capital of the world".
