Q: Sorry if i'm ignorant, but if my ~gossiping~ is correct, t' government REQUIRES all participants of t' ~Homestay Program~ to charge a minimum of $1500 CAD monthly to their international-student tenants. I think tat's just so, so high! Maybe tat's why i saw SOOOOO many Asians, partic~ South Koreans and Japanese, moving into Winnipeg a/b a year ago. I live in Vancouver now w/ my family friends as a uni drop-out, but wouldn't be able to if my landlord didn't give me a discounted-discounted rent. Why is Vancouver so expensive! It's so ridiculous! You can only save so much money by taking the bus you know!!!
A: I know the average homestay fee is CAD$750/month in Vancouver, 1500 CAD/mnth is really crazy, it almost for 2 months. Usually the homestay host makes contract with schools.
