Q: I've been told that it takes a very very long time as Canada Post is extremely slow. Is this true? I need the letter to get to my friends house by (at the latest) the 10th of July. If I mail it in the next 3 days, do you think it will get there in time? Thanks.

A: As long as it's being sent by air, it shouldn't take any longer than 2 weeks this time of year. Canada post isn't extremely slow, not in my experience. According to their website, sending a small packet (ie, envelope) by air should arrive to an international destination in 7-10 business days, as long as it's sent by air. I'd say your letter will get there in time, but if you're not completely sure, check with your local post office. They should be able to give you a rough estimate of time.
