Q: Is it really cold in fall? And are there expensive department stores like saks, harvey nichols and nordstrom? Thanks in advance
A: I am a former chef and worked in both Vancouver and Victoria BC at one time, from July to January you can experience all types of weather, a bit cooler at times then eastern Canada or the US and nice in the afternoons, it cools a bit at night, mainly because of the mountians. As for highend store the answer is "Yes", store like Holt Renfrew, The Bay, Sears and other smaller more intimate places and Vancouver is considered a fashion mecca.
