A: After living in different places in Europe, USA, Asia and Canada - I have to admit that Vancouver is one of the if not THE most lovable city in the world. The majority of Canadians are friendly and open minded. From that comes a pleasant culture and living environment. Vancouver enjoys the natural beauty of the mountains and the sea. There are distinct seasons (missing in my part of Asia). It has all the "usual amenities of the city" while still being relatively small and you can be in the Forrest in 10-40 minutes depending on where you live. An hours drive or more gives you the wonderful mountains - in winter with snow. Perhaps one of the short comings is the absence of "high level cultural entertainment" like, opera, theater or musical which is usually available for a limited time and years after it starts on Broadway (so for Theater I go to London or New York).
