Q: Three of us plan to visit on last weekend, late July. What is your experience using public transit? We had planned to buy the one day pass but is bus & Sky Train and Sea Bus service from a hotel the downtown area accessible and frequent enough to make it worth buying? This is info I have, so far. http://www.vancouver.hm/transpor.html Sorry, I had more than one question. We really need to know if it's possible to see Vancouver if we leave our car parked in hotel garage.

A: yeah its pretty good. however, i find it on a bit of the expensive side. if your looking for a public transit map go the the vancouver public library. their usually near a huge pile of newspapers and magazines. the transit maps are FREE! if you wanna save yourself a trip here is a the offical vancouver tansit site... http://www.translink.bc.ca/default.asp you should find everything you need there. if you want to know how to get to places go to "trip planner" and it should show you which bus you want to take, and where you need to stop. if you feel lost ask the bus driver. their USUALLY friendly and willing to help. yes, it should be possible to see vancouver if your car is parked in the hotel garage. all the popular tourist spots are mainly in downtown, or close to downtown. however, think about what time you are getting bak, or where you are going before you leave your car in the garage. there are some shady spots in vancouver. eg: downtown east side ^you don't wanna be there at night.
