Q: How much is rent in Vancouver on average for a basement suite.. in a fairly safe area that you can recommend (my sister lives close to Hastings and yeah.. I don't feel like removing my car radio as a safety precaution haha).. Also what kind of jobs are offered there and are in demand? It's fairly easy to find a job in Calgary, but not alot of character or culture in this city and housing/rent is pretty high up there still and the winters SUCK.
A: Hastings, is very dangerous and unsafe, there are hookers there, drug addicts there, and also Hobo's that will just break anything to get there hands on what they want, Or something shiny. A great cheap place is in North Vancouver, and a realy trust worthy building is Woodcroft. Its very cheap, about 200-400 a month, and everything you might need is in reach of 10 or 20 minutes, since Park Royal (Medium sized mall) is right near by. Well, i hope i helped you.
