Q: Is there anything to do in Whistler during summer time?? i'll visit vancouver in a few weeks and I want to know if it is worth it to visit whislter! Thanks ! :)
A: Don't miss it. Whistler in summer tends to have good weather, drier and warmer than Vancouver, and it is a beautiful place. It is often quite cheap to rent condos and the like in the summer, and the restaurants have summer specials. Be sure to take the lift to the top of Whistler (or of Blackcomb if it is open) as the views are stunning. If you have the time, there are some really great hikes, including my favorite the rather long Musical Bumps to Russet Lake across the top of the mountains. There are several lakes with beaches for sunning and swimming, and most hotels have pools, and there is a network of bicycle trails and plenty of places to rent bikes. If it is to your taste, there are some first rate golf courses as well. And in the eveings there are clubs, movies and other entertainments. We usually spend a week there in the summer and always look forward to returning.
