Q: I am interesting in renting a vacation property in Whistler, after the Olympics have left town and am wondering if there are rattlesnakes in that area? I have a dog that I am worried about, he tends to chase after everything he sees. He's friendly but not smart.
A: we do have rattlesnakes in BC but in the drier areas like Kamloops and the Okanagan and not Whistler or coastal areas. I'd be more worried about my dog chasing bears in Whistler. That said, if your coming after the Olympics in late winter or spring.. you wont see either snakes or bears
