Q: Heyy guyssss so im going to a 12 week snowboarding program in Whistler next winter (dec.'09 to march '10) and I've decided I'm gonna stay in Vancouver AFTER that til about the summer time or the middle of the summer. are there goodish jobs there? uhm whats rent like (parents will help me out i know that)? uhh any advice/help would be AMAZING! or anything else you can think of to say please do! lol thanks again! -hollyy 'shredstar' stevens :) also im from Ontario so BC is probaly a HECK of alot different ohh and Ill be 18 almost 19 (may2010)
A: I am originally from Toronto. You bet, it is "a HECK of alot different". You do not know what an amazing 12 week you are going to have in whistler. I would strongly suggest that you spend your time in Vancouver in west end, Downtown Vancouver. Or Yaletown. If I were you, I would stay within the boundary: Georgia(N), Beach Ave(S), Stanley Park(W), Homer(E). The further west, the better. You are going to be here for a few months, so try to have the best right around you. For a small place, you are probably looking at about a $1000.00 a month. Wish you a great time.
