Q: I was wondering how cold is it in Canada, Burnaby BC? Im from the philippines and well I dont think I have the appropriate wardrobe. Ive never been to Canada, only LA. So how cold is it around August-September and when school starts?

A: It's not that cold in August and September. You should bring a decent jacket (not a winter jacket, just something the weight of a heavy sweater) and it should be water/wind proof. The cold won't be a problem, but if you're near the water at night or it's raining out, you'll be happier with a good jacket. I'd say a heavy sweater and a raincoat would probably do the trick. Bring a couple of pairs of pants if you're there for a while, but you will probably be able to wear shorts and a T-shirt many days, especially in August
