Q: Hi, planning a trip to Whistler - there are some great deals in early December (for instance starting around Dec 10). Is this too risky (chance of not enough snow)? We could wait a bit longer but the price goes up a lot, unless we wait a couple of months. Thanks!

A: Ah, you see, when they are sure to have snow, that's when the prices go up since Whistler's big draw is skiing, and around Christmas is a popular getaway time. There might be enough snow in early December, there might not. Same at the other end of the season. If you want a good price, you'll just have to take the chance that the skiing might not be happening when you go.
