Q: I wanna move to Canada and I don't want to live in a province where has very cold winters. how is British Columbia weather-wise in winter & summer? also,.. what is the safest city in British Columbia? Thank You. I appreciate it. i can't stand the hot weather, so i don't want to live in a very hot city. so which cities would be the best weather-wise. (by name?) prefereably somewhere close to a college or university.
A: West Vancouver has virtually no crime rate. Its in the Greater Vancouver Area, about a 5 minutes drive across Lions Gate Bridge to the city, so it has really mild weather and is unfortunately very rainy. Its really expensive too but the market has and is going down considerably and more and more places are being listed. Another great thing about West Van: No hobos. Actually, it was listed as having 2 hobos becuase at the time they took the stats, 2 hobos and crossed over the bridge to West Van, and then had to be transferred back downtown or over into North Van by the police lol. Close to UBC or SFU or BCIT or Emily Carr etc. But if you want something a bit cheaper and still safe, anywhere in the west end of Vancouver is fine. Like Kerrisdale or Kits. And its not neccersarily true what the above poster said, some of the towns up north are way more dangerous than some parts near Vancouver. Its jsut the east side you need to worry about.
