Q: i wanna ship my flat screen TV that i bought 2 years ago to canada, because im driving there in winter, i know there is gonna be that expensive canadian duty for postage. but is the duty they charge the same as if i took my TV to canada without shipping it there?

A: I think it would be the same. I'm not 100% sure, but I think if you're driving and bring it along in your car, and tell the officers it's a gift, they might not charge you tax. The tax is going to be really expensive which is rediculous because you already paid tax wherever you obught it and it's a personal thing.
