A: the statement that Victoria is 'mostly older people' is nonsense. Years ago Victoria was referred to as the city of the "Newly wed and nearly dead". That isn't the case today. Victoria is a beautiful city with many indoor and outdoor activities for people of all ages. UVic is however located in a somewhat afluent area of Victoria and as such the neighbourhood surrounding the university is one of the older demographics of the city. Don't let that scare you though, your friends will be fellow students of your own age group and the downtown scence, while it isn't Toronto or Vancouver has enough clubs and night spots to keep the younger crowd happy and occupied on the weekends.
