Q: I am wondering how easy it is to move north of my border, what do i need to do to migrate my family there?

A: Hi, I am an American from Washington State who has just about finished immigration to Canada. Expect it to take roughly 1-2 years to finish permanent residency application (they take like 6 months per step). That is just for you. It could be longer with family members since you may need to file under a different class of immigration. My recommendation... get in as a student first, at the end of your studies, apply for residency since it will be much easier. Still will take you a few years. That will not change. Good news though, they just cut residency landing fees from 900 to about 450 Canadian. Find out more about immigration at the source listed below. Thanks.
