A: I live in Winnipeg and believe it is one of the greatest cities in the world. Housing is affordable ... you can drive from one side of the city to another in only 40 minutes ... the people are friendly ... and the city is going through an incredible rejuvenation. The winters are very cold, that is true. But living in Winnipeg is affordable and it is easy to save money and take a break from the cold. Many Winnipeggers travel to the Caribbean for a nice vacation during the winter. If you are new to the city, I would recommend avoiding living in the West End or certain areas of the North End.
