A: From my experience in the education system I would say you will be able to pick and choose. There is a great demand for people with an IT background in all kinds of businesses, government departments, school districts, hospitals, NGOs, etc. I worked for several school boards and we were always advertising for IT people. In our local newspaper communications companies have ads almost every week. If you are interested in education and IT go to www.educationcanada.com which is a site where school districts from all across Canada post job openings and you will find lots of IT vacancies.
