Q:

A: The Royal Winnipeg Ballet usually puts on "The Nutcracker Suite" at that time, it is great. When you are in that area you can swing over to Portage Place to shop or go to the Imax or Prairie Theatre Exchange. The Manitoba Legistature also has some neat tours-call to see if they are on when you are there. The Forks is neat as well. Depending on the weather, you can skate on the river. Or go across the bridge and see the St Boniface Notre Dame Cathedral. There are some neat pictures you can take around there, if you are into that. If you are lucky a sundog will be in the sky. CanadInn Wonderland should still be on then-to see some neat things. A MB Moose game is usually on too. You can also rent a limo and and the driver to take you around to see the nice Christmas displays around the city-the limos go by the hour. If you like the outdoors, Fort Whyte and Birds Hill Park are nice to walk. Both have trails. There is also skiing at Birds Hill Park. Assiniboine Zoo will be open and they have a neat Christmas display along with the animals. Being winter, you will see some of the "colder" animals in their element.
