Q: im intrested in studyin pharmacy technician but i need to know how much is the salary. i checked labour market information in canada service website - average wage- $32.00 $/hour high wage- $52.20 $/hour low wage- $22.50 $/hour (http://www.labourmarketinformation.ca/st... but i dont know if its accurate. please if anyone knows or is experienced as pharmacy technician, or is one (in winnipeg, manitoba) help me out. in winnipeg technical college website it said "The median wage for students graduating from this program between July 2006 and June 2007 is $10.95 per hour." (http://www.wtc.mb.ca/index.cfm?pageID=71) what does that mean? why is it so different from the wages on the canada service labour marketing information site? please answer my question. im dying to know. i need help. before i make the right descion of taking this program. thank you so much.
A: I'm a pharmacist and I live in Winnipeg. Pharmacy technicians are the assistants at the pharmacy and make anywhere from $9 to $20 per hour. Most make about $11 or $12 per hour. You have to be a really good technician with many years experience to make $20 per hour. Pharmacists themselves make anywhere from $40 to $60 per hour.
