For people from Winnipeg?

Q: Are there any great jobs that pay a lot but are only a weekend thing? I don't do late nights.

A: Depends what you want to do and/or what kind of education, training, and experience you have. Your availability also plays a role. Are you a student? Are you of legal age? You might want to pick up a serving job (Applebee's, Kelsey's, The Keg, Earls, etc.). Pay is not fabulous, but if you're busy and a great server, you can make good tips. Another option is to work Saturdays at a bank (i.e. the CIBC on Regent is open on Saturday). An entry level teller position usually pays decent. Again, it's really hard to tell you what to apply for without any knowledge on your education/training level, but these are general entry level jobs. You may also want to consider working at a car dealership. If you work your way up to sales, you have the potential to earn a lot in little time if you're good. There are dealerships along Pembina, which is helpful if you are a student and live close to U of M. Working for an insurance company or doing tax returns PT on the weekend (seasonal) may also be an option. If you are a student, consider tutoring, pet sitting, yard work, housecleaning, or baby sitting. If you're your own boss, you make your own hours and set your own wages. Lastly, Mosaic is a marketing company that hires people to do contract jobs such as beer sampling on weekends. The pay is generally really good. Be sure to click on the Canadian site/contacts and send in a resume. http://www.mosaic.com/ Good luck!
