Q: My family and I live in Winnipeg but aren't from here. We love to try new places. We have done the typical- Winnipeg Beach, St Ambroise, Whiteshell,Birdshill etc. I was wondering if anyone has favorite beaches and/or campgrounds within 2 hours drive from Winnipeg to suggest that we try.
A: You could take the TransCanada Hwy east and come to Rushing River in Ontario. That is just east of Kenora. There is also Falcon Lake on the TransCanada. Or, you could go to Spruce Woods Campground near Glenboro. The campground is nice...and you could check out Spirit Sands...the Manitoba Desert that everyone forgets about. :)
