A: When I lived in Winnipeg the "nice" areas were St Vital, Ft. Richmond, Windsor Park, Tuxedo, Linden Woods. Basically the southern parts. There are some really neat character homes in Wolsely and Osborne Village. You want to look at convenience of services too...bus if needed, groceries, gyms etc. Keep in mind that "bad" things can happen anywhere and "best" is a matter of perspective. When I started looking at apartments I went to the local police station and asked their opinion of crime rates around there and looked at that too.
